Love is Patient, Love is Kind, It does not envy, it does not boast, It is not proud. It does not dishonor others, It is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, It keeps no record of wrongs. -1 Corinthians 13 This describes Louis Joseph Everett’s life. He was the most patient and kind person I ever knew! He suddenly and peacefully passed away, surrounded by his wife, children and family on November 20 th 2023. Louis was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 1 st , 1952, to Erminia & Harlo G. Everett Sr.   Louis leaves behind his wife, Debi of 42 years, his four children, Michael, Nicoletta, Katherine, and Phillip; three grandchildren, Harper, Maverick, Madeline; and four siblings, Harlo Jr., John, Theresa and Maria as well as many friends who he and Debi always felt were family. Louis was a lifelong Jacksonville resident, he attended Bishop Kenny High school. He went on to earn his Associate in Science, Land Surveying, from Palm Beach Junior College. Where he then became a Registered Land Surveyor, licensed in Florida. After working in the family business surveying for most of his life, he joined his brother, Harlo, Jr., as a licensed surveyor and helped operate ECK Land Surveyor’s until a week before his death. ECK is one of Jacksonville’s oldest surveying companies and Louis was well respected in the land surveying community for over 40 years. He honorably served in the U.S Navy Reserve for six years. He was part of the Assumption Catholic Church family for many years, he was involved in the Men’s Club, The Knights of Columbus and Boy Scouts. Please join the family in honoring and remembering Louis at a funeral mass held at Assumption Catholic Church (2403 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville FL 32207) on Monday December 18 th at 11:00am, with a reception to follow at Mudville Grille (3105 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207) He will be dearly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.  We will miss his wonderful smile, his jokes, his devotion to family and most of all the hugs he gave us all! The Everett family extends their gratitude to the ICU staff at St. Vincent’s Southside for their compassionate care. Most of all we would like to say thank you for the endless outpouring of love and support from our wonderful family and friends!! We are blessed!
