Philip Oliver Pitts, known to his loved ones as Philip, passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 68 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on November 30, 1954, in Jacksonville, Florida. Philip was a good man who cherished his family above all else. He had a passion for making music and dedicated 50 years of his life to his craft as a Musician. His talent and love for music were evident as he excelled as a Singer, Guitar Player, and Bass Player throughout his career. In addition to his musical pursuits, Philip also owned a business specializing in Shoe Repair. Philip is survived by his sons, Austin and Aaron, his Grandchildren Stevie Rae and Grayson, and his former wife Louise. He is also survived by his brother, Eddie (Pattie), sister, Peggy Ann (David), and nephews, Patrick, Erik, Luke, Landon and niece Ansley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Artha Rae Pitts. Philip's primary and high school education were completed, and his passion for music served as his lifelong teacher. A Celebration Of Life to honor Philip will be held at Eternity Funeral Home on Wednesday September 6th at 3pm . Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects. Philip will be remembered for his love for his family, his dedication to music, and his skillful craftsmanship. May his soul find eternal peace.
