Obituary of Julia Adell Crabb

Julia Adell( Mama Dell) died of natural causes on November 12,2022, she was 95 years old. She was born in Blythe, Georgia on July 4th, 1927. She was the eldest of 4 sisters born to Harvey and Myrtis Newman. Over the years the family moved to the Savannah, Georgia area, where she was married to William Clifford Crabb on May 21st, 1949. They had 4 children whom she loved and devoted her life to. Mama Dell always loved children and had a God given way to calm the fussiest baby. She was given the opportunity to care for babies and toddlers in the nursery at Neptune Baptist Church. She rocked, held, and loved on babies and little ones there for many years. Julia is survived by her children, Judy Stegin(Joe), Cliff Crabb (Becky), Cheryl Frank (Wes), Jerry Crabb (Laura). Her grandchildren, Joey Stegin, Justin Stegin, Drew Crabb, William Fontana, Wesley Fontana, Ryan Crabb, Ben Frank, Nathan Frank, Ash Frank, Aubrey Crabb, Zak Crabb, and great grandchildren, Waylon Stegin, Noah Fontana, Rylee Fontana. And her sisters, Nell Barrow, Martha Conner, Patsy Greenway and sister’s and brother in law, Ray Hatfield, Betty Carbo, Wanda Stuckey. A celebration of her life will be held at Neptune Baptist Church on December 3rd, 2022 at 2 pm,and a graveside service in Rincon,Georgia at a later date.
